You should never have left Neal alone while you, Paul, and Neal were out fishing. I understand that you are not very fond of him but he is Jessie's brother. He is your wife's brother. She loves him very much and wants to help him, you should to. It is not God's way to ignore and not help those in need. I am slightly disappointed. You always have a level head and are always doing what is right. I would have expected this out of Paul before I would have expected it out of you. I suggest you try and make things right with Jessie before you offend her more and lose your marriage.

Dear Norman,
Your father is right, you should never have left Neal. You should think of him as your own brother. Jessie loves him so, just as you love your brother. You may not like him but you should at least try for Jessie.
