Dear Norman,
It has come to my attention that you picked your younger brother at the jail last night. What was he in for? How much was the bail? Is he okay? Your mother is worried about Paul. She thinks he is walking down a bad path. You are truly your brother's keeper. It pleases your mother very much that you are watching over him, along with the good lord himself. I do not understand the madness that Paul is going through. What is this big poker game I have heard about? Is he in trouble with money? Maybe you could give him some. When Paul comes over he tells us his newspaper stories and sometimes I cannot decide if they are real or not. They entertain your mother though. She loves him very much. We both love you very much as well.
Thank you,
Your Father

Oh Norman,
Your father is right. It is nice to know that you are there for your brother when I am not there. I always have some of his favorite chokecherry jelly waiting for him for when he comes home for a visit. I miss my dear Paul.
Love,
Your Mother
